Samantha had just got the rest of her stuff out of the jeep that had dropped her off in front of her tent. As she disappeared into her tent, the jeep drove of and headed down the road back to Kempo. Once Samantha had everything in her tent, she decided that she would unpack later. Right now, though, she just wanted to get out and walk around and check out her new surroundings. So, after exiting her tent, Sam looked quickly around and noticed that two men, who could pass for twins, was watching her. 

She knew that they had to be two of the doctors there at the 4077th or else they were two of the ugliest nurses in the world. She couldn't help but laugh at her little thought. Sam then shoook it of and stood at her tent door for a little bit longer, trying to decide if she should be creeped out or be flatterd, which she chose to be flattered. So, she sent them both a smile and began to gently wave at them. 

After she stopped waving to Hawkeye and Benjamin, Sam began to walk around, whistling a happy tone as she went around introducing herself.  Slowly and casually, Sam made it over to the SWAMP, where the two Pierce men continued to watch Sam's every move. When they saw her coming their way, they quickly turned away and began to act like they have not been watching her. But she knew they had been. Finally, Sam stuck her nose up to the tent and began talking to them from the outside.

"Hey there fellas," Sam said with a smile on her face. "I couldn't help but notice you two watching me," she added witha huge smile on her face. "Mind if I come in and have a drink with you fellas?" she asked as she noticed how cute Hawkeye was, even at his advanced aged. "By the way, my name is Samantha, but you all can call me Sam," she said still wearing the smile on her face. "I'm one of the new nurses around here," she added. 

Ben laughed at his father' joke as he was pouring them each a drink. Then he put a couple of olives in each glass and then handed Hawkeye his. Then he picked up his glass and took a small sip from it as he went over and sat down in his chair that was next to his cot, which his father was comfortably laying on. Then he began to reply to everything tha his father had just said. 

"Well, I don't know about it being as good as the homemade hooch we make at home," Ben said. "But it does the job and get us drunk off our asses," he told his father. "But I'm glad you like it and think it's as good as home," he said as he took another drink from his glass and then sat it down as he was listening to Hawkeye talk about what they would need for a great prank against Frank Burns. 

As Ben listened, a smile came over his face at first, but then when his father was telling him everything they would need, a quizzical look cam over Ben's face as he began to speak to him. He couldn't help but wonder what was going through his father's mind. "Getting Frank's foodlocker and underwear  isn't a problem," Ben said softly. "And even getting a frog or two isn't a problem," he added. "But I don't know where we are going to find a nurse willing to help us," he said as he let those thoughts maul over in his mind.

As he was doing so, Ben couldn't help but ask his father what the plan was. "So, what is it that you are planning for old Farret face anyway?" he asked his father still trying to come up with a nurse for his father. Then Ben noticed a jeep coming in and he saw a new nurse. "Hey wait, there's a new nurse," Ben said as he not only changed the subject but quickly sat up as he looked out his tent. 

"Maybe she'll help us," he told his father as he forgot all about finding out the details of the prank. Then Ben looked at his father and began to speak again. "Maybe you could go introduce her and charmer with that old Pierce charm into helping us," Ben told his father. "I mean it worked on mom. I'm living proof of that," he said laughing. 

Ben couldn't help but blush a little bit as he listened to everything that Hawkeye was saying. Then when talked about how proud he was of his son, even if he was gay, Ben let out a huge sigh of relief and the weight of the world that was on his shoulders just seemed to disappear. It was Ben who continued their conversation as they were getting closer and closer to The SWAMP. "Right now, he's on R and R. He got a pass to go to Tokyo for couple of week," he told his father as they finally reached Ben's tent. "He should be back soon," he added as he opened the door for his father, who was the first on in the messy tent. 

"Well, everything I learned, I learned it from you," Ben said smirking as he folled his father into the messy tent. "So, my pranking and rule breaking is no different," he added as he offered his father a seat on his cot. Then he went over to the still. "Pop, say hello to our homemade still," he said as he began to pour them both a glass of liquor. "This stuff will not only burn the hair on your chest but the hair in your nose as well," he said laughing. "Olive?" he asked. Then went onto change the subject with a smile on his face. "And don't worry, you won't get court-martialed. We really don't believe in rules, unless you are Farret face, thene its all rules," he laughing. 

I ain't worried about your snoring or talking in your sleep,"  "Just don't say anything embarrassing," he said with a laugh. The looked at his father. "You know, if you are up to it, later on tonight we could do a prank on Frank, just so he knows there are two Pierces he has to deal with now, and one of them out ranks him," Ben said laughing as he was fixing his own drink. Then he took a drink as he waited for his father to decide if he wanted an olive or not. "Ahh...now that's what I call a taste of heaven" he said with a smirk. 

Ben couldn't help laugh at his father's jokes. He knew his father had never really serious, except when he got really pissed, which for Ben, was hardly ever. He knew  the last time his father got really upset, Hawkeye had just lost a patient and 5 year old Ben's antic's at the time just rubbed his father the wrong way. From then on, Ben had always did his best to stay out of his father's way, especially whenever Hawkeye lost a patient. 

But before Ben would reply to Hawkeye's over-the-top explinations, he kept his face serious as he began to fill Hawkeye in on his beloved. "Well, Pop, his name is Trapper John McIntyre," Ben said. "And he's both a Captain and a surgeon just like me," he added. "And he's also one of my roomates in the Swamp, along with BJ and Frank," Ben added but whent on with his thoughts anyway. "Pop, I didn't know until I got over here, but....I'm gay," he said and then went silent as he was letting his father take everything in. Ben knew his father needed tim to process, so he went back to reply to some of the things that he skipped over. 

"Everything I know I learned from watching you, including getting myself into trouble," Ben said with a chuckle as he tried to lighten the mood. Then Ben cleared his throat as he continued his thought with a smile. "And you don't have to whisper about it. Everybody knows that Trap and I have the still," he told his father. "In fact, we have thrown some wild parties and gotten alot of people drunk," he added.

Then Ben began to get up from his seat, still smiling as he waited for his dad to join him. "I'm actually finished with my water now," he told his father. "So we can go back to the SWAMP and I'll show you the still. Besides, since Frank and BJ decided to move to another tent, we have a couple of beds open that you can choose from," he told his father as he started to walk towards the Mess tent doors. "Oh and before you ask, we call it The SWAMP, because....well....it's a mess," Ben said with a smirk. "Think of it as my bedroom when I didn't clean it, only for adult," Ben added with a smirk on his face. 

"Sorry Pop....just trying to get this to taste like something other than what it is supposed to be," Ben said as he put the salt down and just starred at his tray of food. "I'm starting to think that maybe the Dead Sea would takes better than whatever this is," he said, kind of wondering what exactly he was trying to eat. After a few minutes, Ben pushed his tray away deciding not to eat whatever it was supposed to be. 

Instead, Ben began to focus on his coffee as he picked up his cup to take a drink. Ben couldn't help but chuckle at his father's sense of humor over the coffee while concentrating on the fly in his. "And all I got in mine was a fly, who seems to be doing the backstroke," Ben said still chucking. "Oh....it drowned," he added as he his cup on his try and didn't even try to drink it. Ben then went on to change his convo tot he next subject, which just happened to be Frank. 

"Gee dad," Ben said as he got himself a clean glass for at least some cold water. "If I didn't know any better," Ben said as he was pouring himself some water. "I would say you have a strong dislike, maybe even hate, Frank Burns," he added with a giggle. "But I know that can't be right, because you are the most likeable man there is," he said with a chuckle and then taking a drink of his water. It wasn't good, but at least it was a little better than what they were eating. 

"Anyway," Ben said as he was refilling his glass. "I can tell you God  can still hear us," Ben told is father. "Though I'm pretty sure he has this whole war turned way down low because the brass and the North Korea can't agree on who's the bigger idiots," Ben said laughing as he was looking around for few moments and then back at his father, who was still trying to work his way through dinner and his coffee. 

"Well, you aren't the only one," Ben said with a smile."You forget, I got all my training from you," he smirked and then let the grin got bigger. "Plus, you also taught me to make a mean martini," he smirked. "Which by the way, I wanna show you my homemade still," he added. "I think you will get a kick out of it," Ben said and then cleared his throat as he got very serious. He didn't know what his father would think or how he would feel, all he knew was he needed to tell him. 

Finally, after a moment of silence and deep thought, Ben began to seriously talk to his father. "Pop, I've met someone over here and  it's quiet serious," he told his father. "In fact, I've couldn't get through some of my most difficult times without this person," Ben said as he looked away from his father and then back at him. "I'm not sure how you are going to feel about what I'm about to tell you," he said feeling like crying but keeping it to himself.
