"Sorry Pop," Ben said with a smile on his face as he took another sip of his drink as he sat back watching his father. Ben just couldn't get his laughter under control until Hawkeye started using his serious voice. Then Ben knew it was all business and soon stopped to listen to his father. Then it was his turn to speak, and Ben knew that his father was right, but he still couldn't help but smile at the cuteness of his father. "You're right pop. It has been a very long war," he added with a chuckle. "But I can't help but say, you do look cute when you blush," he added as he popped down the rest of his drink before once more getting up to help his father clean up a bit. Ben ignored Hawkeye's swatting at Ben's hand and continued fixing his hair until Ben was satisfied with the way it looked. Then he stood there and listened to Hawkeye's sarcastic tone, but his smile grew bigger as he responded to it.

Ben smirked after moving away from his father. He knew that Hawkeye was looking as good as he was going to get without a miracle. It wasn't until Hawkeye made that comment about the SWAMP that got really got Ben going and being Hawkeye's son, he couldn't help but get off a good joke. "Well, if anyone asks, you can say she's escorting you to the Senior Prom because she accepts AARP," he said laughing, knowing that his father wouldn't think that's very funny, but Ben didn't care. He told it anyway, just because he was Hawkeye Pierce's son. And because he knew his father would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed. Ben watched his father gulp his martini and then put the glass down. Though it didn't surprise him none, Ben couldn't help but say something. "Careful Pop," Ben said. "You don't want her to think you're a drunk or something," he said as Ben finally sat back down and looked up at his father.

Ben couldn't help but smile as he did what his father said. "Don't worry, I won't say a word," he told his father. "But if there's a wedding between the two of you," Ben started to say before his father walked towards Sam. "I won't be held responsible for anything I say or do," he said and then turned his head and gave his father the old Pierce smile and then chuckle. "Now, go get them tiger," Ben told his father. "And I will just sit in here and be a good little boy and read my magazine and keeping my nose on my own business," he told his father, though he probably knew that once Hawkeye was over trying to work his magic with the new nurse, that Ben would soon follow for whatever reason Ben could think of, which Ben knew his father would be right to think that. Because he knew that was exactly what was going to do, when the time was right.

Benjamin smirked and then chuckled as he poured both himself another glass and then leaned over and poured more martini drink into his father's glass. Once both glasses were full, Ben sat the glass pitcher down and then went and sat down next to his father. He finally began to speak to his fathere. "That's so true," Ben said. "Now we just have all new stirs, compliments of the makers of South Korea," he said laughing and then taking a small sip of his drink and then setting it down beside him.

Ben smiled as he listened to everything his father had to say about his mother. Then Ben let out a sigh as he began to speak to her. "Well I'm glad she is doing good. I'll have to write her sometime," he added with a smile on his face. "I'm just glad that she is getting help and with the medication she's on, she'll be back to her old self in no time," he added with a smile. "She is still taking her medication, isn't she?" Ben asked as he then went on to talk about Frank Burns. 

"I love everything you have planned for old Farret Face," he said with a smile. "And the thought of him begging for a transferr just rips gut up with laughter," he told his father with a playfull and yet now serious tone. "But we do need to be careful that word doesn't get back to either Colonal Potter or Colonal Blake," he said. "The last thing we need to do is get court martialed," he added as he noticed his father eyes were on something or rather someone else. 

Ben looked at the new girl and then back at his father. He could see the blush that was coming over his father's face and he couldn't help but laugh. "You look good when you blush," he said still laughing as he picked up his drink and toasted to his father's blush. Then Ben took a drink as he ccontinued to watch his father suddenly care about how everything looked, including the fact that he pushed Ben's feet off his table. 

"Hey...easy Pop," Hawkeye said. "You are acting like you've never seen a beautiful woman before," he said laughing as he sat his drink down and got up and brushed a little dirt off of his father and got his hair all fixed. "There....now you are ready," he smirked and sat back down to watch the show. "Good luck Pop!" he said as picked up his glass and raised it to him. 

Sam couldn't help but let out little laughs as she listened to Hawkeye speak. She could tell that she was going to have to keep an eye on him, which didn't bother her. Any man than can keep her laughing like this deserves a chance. "Oh I can see I'm gonna have to keep a close eye on you," she told Hawkeye playfully. "But seriously, I would just like straight coffee," she told him as she went back to looking around. 

Then Sam went onto say something about the way the SWAMP looked. "Those must have been city girls," she said with a smirk. "This is nothing compared to the mess back on the farm," she told Hawkeye. "And I don't mind the smell much," she added. "I have smelt way worse," she added when she finally found  a decent place to sit. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked Hawkeye with her charming smile on her face. 

Then she proceeded to sit down without waiting for an answer as she started to answer Hawkeye's question. "Normally, no I wouldn't go into strange man's tent, except for the fact that I noticed you two starring at me," she told Hawkeye with a smile. "So, I figured you two was either plotting something that would require my help or else you two were plotting too see who could get my attention first," she said with a giggle. 

"Oh I see,' she said with a chuckle as she walked into the SWAMP. She couldn't help but glance aound a few seconds before turning to Benjamin and Hawkeye. She said her hello to Benjamin before turning back to Hawkeye and speaking again. "It looks like you boys could use a woman to clean things up, unless you two like living in  messy sty such as this," she said with a playful and yet seious tone. 

Finally, Sam found a place clean enough to sit down. She looked at the homemade still and then back up at Hawkeye. She didn't know what he thought about her, but there was something about Hawkeye that she was defintally liking. After a few minute of silence, Sam began to speak to Hawkeye about having a drink. "Actually, I don't drink but if you have some coffee, I will take a cup," she told him with a huge smile on her face. ee

"Then it's a good year," Ben said with a chuckle. "It was made yesterday before you got here," he said still chuckling as he went on speaking on the rest of what his father told him once his father was done speaking. "I know I worry to much," he said. "I get that from mom. She used to worry about everything," he said. "How is mom? Have you heard from her since you came over here?" he asked his father. 

Then Benjamin changed the subject, knowing he still had to write his mom, but he knew he could do that later. "Anyway, I love what you have planned for old Frank," Ben said with a smirk. "I think Frank will go nuts with all that we are going to do to him," he told his father a he noticed a new nurse showing up. And when he told her father about the new nurse, he watched as his father got up and joined him watchin as the new nurse was unloading her stuff from the jeep. 

Ben didn't say much at first, but he noticed the way that his father was looking at her. And it wasn't just one of his devious looks either. It was a look as though he had just lost his heart all in one moment. They watched for a little while longer, until Ben saw she was coming over. "Looks like you don't have to, she's making her way over here," he said as he moved from the window and back to his seat.

He sat back down and plopped down the last of his drink as he turned to his father, who was still memorized by the new nurse. "Care for another drink dad?" he asked as he was trying to bring him back into reality. As Ben poured himself another drink he listened to the rest of what his father said and he coudn't help but smile at the thought of them going down in prankster's history as two of the greatest.
