A White Korean Christmas (2025)

from Sherman_Potter on 02/14/2026 06:51 AM

Christmas was the one time that there was a cease fire. This meant that there were little to no wounded and the doctors could concentrate on celebrating the holiday. And for Sherman and Klinger, it was going to be a holiday that they never forgot. Sherman knew that Klinger wanted to be back in Toledo for the holidays, and he also knew that he wanted Sherman to go with him. But unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen. But what was going to happen was the wedding of Klinger's dreams, or as close to it as humanly possible. And the first thing he needed to do was get Klinger to make a white dress without having him ask a bunch of questions. And he needs it down within a week, since Christmas was just a couple weeks away. So, while things were a bit quiet, and Klinger was in the kitchen doing his KP duties, Sherman decided to go visit him and talk to him about the dress.

So, while he wasn't needed, Sherman walked over to the mess tent and went back into the cooking area where Klinger was singing and peeling potatoes for dinner. As Klinger continued singing and peeling, he wasn't paying attention to the fact that Sherman was standing there behind him. Sherman listened to Klinger for a little while longer before he finally began to speak to him. "You know, if you weren't pulling so much KP duty, we might actually consider putting you on stage," Sherman said as he began chuckling after seeing Klinger jump like Sherman scared him or something. Then Sherman walked around Klinger so that he could see Klinger's face. Once he was facing Klinger, Sherman began to speak to him more clearly and more directly. "You think that maybe you could stop peeling potatoes for a little bit so that we could talk?" Sherman asked in his most serious tone.

A White Christmas for Sherman and Klinger

Re: Love Has No Age Limits

He knew that Klinger was already missing him and he wasn't even gone yet. Sherman sighed and sat down next to Klinger and listened to everything he had to say. "The Military is just doing what it needs to do to win this war," he told him. "And we don't have to like it, but we do have to obey the rules," he added as he took Klinger's hand. Sherman let out a sigh as he went on speaking to Klinger. "And yes this unit does need me to lead, but you also know that Colonel Blake is here as well to make sure that things go smoothly," he added and then paused as if he was deep in thought about something. "You know, this is the only MASH unit that I know of with two Colonels," he said as he turned to look at Klinger, this time with a smile on his face. "We should be lucky that somehow it worked out that way and that the army is a little too lazy to fix it," he added and then kissed Klinger's hand and then stood up to finish up packing.

Sherman smiled as he listened to Klinger talk about the necklace. He knew that Klinger loved it, but what he was planning on bringing back from Tokyo, he knew would make Max cry. Once Sherman was all packed, he closed his suitcases and made sure they were latched really good. Then he turned and looked at Klinger, who was still admiring the necklace with love in his eyes. Sherman stood there watching him for a little while as he tried to hide the tears that was stinging his eyes and threating to fall. Sherman cleared his throat and then began to speak to him. "You know, if you open the necklace," Sherman started as he began to smile at his love. "There's a picture of you and me inside, which will help you through the lonely nights as well," he added as he walked over to Klinger. "Would you like for me to put it on you?" he asked.

"I know, my love," Sherman said with a smile on his face. Then he reached out and softly touched Max's face. "And I wouldn't leave you now if it wasn't for the damn military telling me I had too," he told him as he softly and gently ran his thumb over Max's cheek. Sherman still had a huge smile on his face as he continued to speak. "I know you'll find something to do to keep yourself busy while I'm gone, including driving Blake crazy," he said with a chuckle. "Just try not to end up in the stockade while I'm gone," Sherman said as he then went on to change the subject.

"Anyway, when I get back," he told Max. "You can be sure that I will have a huge surprise just for you," he said as he leaned down and then softly kissed Max's lips. "But you only get the surprise when I get back and if you are a good boy," he told Max with a playful tone. "Now, I do have something that might help with the long seperation," he told Max as he went over to his art supply box. Sherman pulled out a small and long box. Then he walked over and sat down next to Max and handed it to him. "I hope you like it and having it will help with the lonely nights," Sherman said, knowing that Max would not only never take it off but he would stare at Sherman's picture that was inside the locket.

Love Has No Age Limits

from Sherman_Potter on 10/19/2025 06:28 AM

It's been a year and half since Sherman Potter and Max Klinger had made their relationship not only public but official. And now it was time for him to do the right thing and bind their love forever. But he wanted to do things right and Sherman did have a lot of RR saved up, so he decided to use a few days and go Tokyo, and check out a few things before he made any rash decisions. Of course he had to go to Tokyo anyway on Military business, so this worked out perfect. And even though him and Max really hadn't been apart for as long as he was going to be gone.

In fact, ever since Klinger had found out how long Sherman would be gone, he had been walking around sad and miserable. Sherman knew that Klinger was taking on extra KP duty and Gaurd duty just to avoid talking to Sherman. But what Klinger didn't know, was that eventually Klinger would join him in Tokyo, when the time was right. But for now, he was sitting on their cot as Sherman was packing his bags. "Max, honey, I will only be gone for a month or so," he told Max. "And it's not like I really have a choice to go, even though I did add a few extra days onto it," he said.
